Pray for World Peace

In recent years, many places over the world were attacked by terrorists, including Iraq and Syria which are controlled by The Islamic State (IS), as well as Paris and Lebanon which were recently attacked by IS. Terrorist attacks have already spread to Europe and the States. In order to declare their power, terrorists put people into a life of fear, without peace and security.

On 13 November 2015, terrorists attacked Paris, spraying the city with bullets and killing more than 130 people. There were also hundreds of people witnessing the incident, and they suffered from psychological trauma. These people need a long time to recover, more courage to face their life ahead, and the faith from God to overcome fear in their hearts. We hope that you can pray with us for the people in Paris and Lebanon:

Dear peace-giving God, may you comfort all families of those who were killed, and hearts which were injured. Give them courage to face sorrow and let them recover physically and spiritually. May the Spirit move those who use violence and stir up their compassion, so that they will stop killing in revenge and are willing to use love instead of hatred to solve problems. May you also send angels to spread the gospel all over the world, so that your word change people’s hearts and there is no more hatred among countries and people but a world full of peace and love.

If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. (Romans 12:18; NRSV)
